Boran Packaging, founded in 1972, has grown to become the leading manufacturer of flexible packaging in Ireland. Still 100% family-owned, the company has expanded its presence across both the Republic of Ireland and the UK. In 2003, Boran Group acquired Mopack Systems Limited, reinforcing its position in the market and ensuring operational continuity across both regions. Recognising the benefits of renewable energy, Boran Packaging partnered with start solar to implement a solar power solution that aligns with their commitment to sustainability.

The 530kW Solar PV Installation

To meet Boran Packaging’s energy needs, we designed and installed a powerful 530kW Solar PV system at their facility. The installation includes 4 Solis 110kW inverters and Longi 580W solar panels, known for their high efficiency and reliability. This state-of-the-art system ensures optimal energy production, providing Boran Packaging with a sustainable and dependable power source.

The system is engineered to significantly reduce the company’s reliance on traditional energy sources, contributing to both environmental and financial benefits.
