Unitrunk’s commitment to sustainability led to the installation of a 50kW Solar PV system at their offices and production facility in Northern Ireland. The system we provided includes a 50kW SMA inverter, renowned for its German engineering and reliability, coupled with 125 Jinko Solar panels, each with a capacity of 400 watts. At the time of installation, these were the highest wattage panels deployed in Northern Ireland, ensuring maximum energy generation and efficiency.
This Solar PV system is designed to produce over 41,975kWh of electricity annually for at least 25 years. Using the power of the sun, Unitrunk is now able to significantly reduce their dependence on traditional energy sources, contributing to both their financial savings and environmental goals.
The installation of the 50kW Solar PV system represents a substantial financial advantage for Unitrunk. Over the system’s lifespan, it is expected to save the company approximately £140,000. The return on investment (ROI) is projected to be under 5.5 years, after which Unitrunk will benefit from just under 20 years of free electricity, all while still being covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
From an environmental perspective, the system aligns with Unitrunk’s commitment to reducing their carbon footprint and moving towards more sustainable operations. The clean energy generated by this installation contributes to a greener planet, helping Unitrunk reduce their impact on the environment.
